Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, México a 27 de septiembre del 2022.- Por fin se acabó la mala racha para la escuadra que dirige Fabiola Vargas. En un partido en donde fueron ampliamente superiores, las Rojinegras del Atlas Femenil derrotaron 2-0 a la Franja de Puebla de la misma categoría, en el Estadio Jalisco dentro de la Jornada 14 del Apertura 2022 de la Liga MX Femenil.
Lo que realmente querían las dirigidas por Fabiola Vargas era volver a la senda del triunfo, y tendrían la gran oportunidad de demostrarlo en su casa ante el equipo de Puebla Femenil. Atlas Femenil de momento peligra para puestos de liguilla, por lo cual saldría con todo para este partido.
El partido inició a favor de las Rojinegras, quienes mostraron una clara superioridad en la posesión del esférico. La costarricense Carolina Venegas lograría abrir el marcador al minuto 25, luego de una gran jugada individual de Alejandra Lomelí, que dejó sola y sin marca a la centroamericana para desatar la alegría en las tribunas del inmueble tapatío.
Para el segundo tiempo las cosas seguirían igual. Atlas dominando, pero con falta de contundencia a la hora de definir. El equipo local buscaría el segundo gol ya que en la presente temporada dejó ir puntos importantes por no asegurar el marcador.
Puebla Femenil mostró iniciativa para buscar el empate, pero este nunca llegó. Para el complemento, prácticamente al final del encuentro, Atlas anotó el segundo y definitivo gol del compromiso al minuto 89, gracias a un soberbio remate de cabeza de Fernanda Limón, quien celebró con todas sus compañeras.
Este triunfo sirvió de poco a las rojinegras en su afán de meterse de lleno en zona de clasificación, ya que por ahora se sitúan en el puesto 10 de la tabla general con 17 puntos, mientras que Puebla Femenil con esta derrota continua en la posición 15 con 10 puntos. Aun a falta de 3 jornadas para finalizar el torneo.
