CDMX, CDMX, México a 26 de febrero del 2023.- Las Pumas y Santos Femenil se enfrentaron en la Jornada 7 de la Liga MX Femenil; la cual representó el regreso del certamen después del parón de fecha FIFA.

La alineación de Pumas: Melany Villeda, Dirce Delgado, Deneva Cagigas, Bibiana Quintos, Marylin Díaz, Rebeca Zavaleta, Lucía Rodríguez, Citlali Hernández, Dinora Garza, Paola Chavero, Gabriela Juárez, DT: Jhonathan Lazcano.

La alineación de Santos: Paola Calderón, María Yokoyama, Katia Estrada, Priscila Padilla, Sheila Pulido, Brenda López, Daniela Delgado, Cinthya Peraza, Alexxandra Ramírez, Alexia Villanueva, Sofía Varela, DT: Jorge Campos.

Los equipos salieron a la cancha en el ya acostumbrado ritual de la liga y posteriormente se entonó el himno nacional mexicana para conmemorar el día de la bandera.

A los 20 segundos tuvimos la primera jugada de peligro de las universitarias, donde Dinora Garza sacó su disparo por encima del arco.

Al minuto 12, una jugada de las guerreras que pintaba para más terminó desaprovechándose. Alexia Villanueva había recibido un pase con ventaja sobre la defensiva y ella tenía la alternativa de encarar a la guardameta en un mano a mano o bien buscar el acompañamiento con dos compañeras que iban cerrando. Sin embargo, perdió un tiempo a la hora de conducir el balón y se perdió la oportunidad.

Al 14’, Lucy Rodríguez descolgó por la banda de la izquierda e intentó sorprender con un disparo a primer palo; el cual acabaría muy por arriba de la portería.

Al minuto 17 llegaría el primer gol de partido gracias a que Pao Chavero se quitó la barrida de la zaga santista; con lo cual se puso mano a mano frente a la guardameta. Paola Calderón realizó muy bien el achique, pero Chavero supo leer la jugada y se la picó para poner el primero para las universitarias.

Al minuto 21, Gabriela Juárez se perdería una oportunidad inmejorable para poner el segundo. Gaby remató prácticamente en el manchón penal sin ninguna defensa que la estorbara. Desafortunadamente para ella, no consiguió darle buena dirección a su remate y terminó el peligro.

Al 29’, llegaría el primer ataque de las guerreras por la banda de la izquierda donde intentaron sorprender a Melany Villeda a primer poste y la propia arquera terminó realizando una buena atajada y mandando el balón a tiro de esquina.

El empate llegó al minuto 35. Tras un descuido en el saque de banda de Pumas, Santos aprovecha para robar el balón y Sofía Varela estaba descubierta en el área para poder mandar el esférico al fondo de las redes.

Al minuto 39 estuvo cerca de llegar el empate; tras un descuido de Villeda al no medir bien el balón que venía del tiro libre.

Empezó el segundo tiempo con unas guerreras que seguían buscando el gol de la igualada. Sin embargo, los disparos eran sin potencia y siendo bien controlados por la guardameta auriazul.

Al minuto 56, las Pumas nuevamente dejaron mal paradas a las defensas del Santos y Chavero nuevamente les terminó ganando la espalda a las centrales. Tal y como fue en la primera anotación, Chavero resolvería de manera adecuada para poner el segundo para Pumas.

Para sorpresa de todo mundo, al 62’, Marylin Díaz se mandaría el gol de la jornada. La mediocampista de Pumas tomó el balón desde la mitad de la cancha y sin pensárselo demasiado sacó el disparo para clarear a la guardameta lagunera. Así caería el tercer gol para Pumas.

El cuarto estuvo cerca de llegar dos minutos más tarde, pero la zaga terminó salvando a las Guerreras; tras una barrida en la línea de gol.

Sin embargo, mucho era el empuje de Pumas y la llegada de la cuarta anotación era más que inminente. Tras un tiro de esquina jugado en corto, llegó un centro; el cual Dirce Delgado terminaría cerrando para poner cifras definitivas.

Con este triunfo, las universitarias logran su primera victoria en casa y Santos sigue dejando muchas dudas en este inicio de torneo.

El DT de Pumas, Jhonathan Lazcano, recalcó en conferencia de prensa que su equipo ha venido mostrando mejoría, pero que aún no es para echar las campanas al vuelo y que se tomarán con mesura el hecho de haber conseguido la victoria el día de hoy; la cual recalca que ya era necesaria para la autoestima de sus jugadoras.

Por otra parte, Jorge Campos dice que su equipo no ha jugado mal y son las desconcentraciones las que tienen a las guerreras en los últimos lugares de la tabla. Recalca que su equipo está bien mentalmente y que simplemente hay que pulir esos detalles para no perder la concentración en el desarrollo del juego.
