Acapulco de Juárez, Guerrero, México a 09 de mayo de 2022.- En un Estadio Azteca con aproximadamente 15 mil aficionados, las Tuzas del Pachuca Femenil le ganaron el partido de vuelta de los Cuartos de Final a las Águilas del América Femenil y así confirmaron su participación en las Semifinales del Grita X La Paz Clausura 2022 de la Liga MX Femenil.
Las locales salieron con Renata Masciarelli, Janelly Farías, Casandra Cuevas, Katty Martínez, Daniela Espinosa, Mónica Rodríguez, Kimberly Rodríguez, Natalia Mauleón, Amanda Murillo, Sarah Luebbert y Karen Luna.
Las visitantes alinearon de inicio con: Esthefanny Barreras, Mónica Alvarado, Karla Nieto, Lizbeth Ángeles, Charlyn Corral, Mónica Ocampo, Selene Cortés, Yanin Madrid, Ruth Bravo, Viridiana Salazar y Karen Díaz.
Debido a un golpe en la cabeza que tuvo Selene Cortés con Daniela Espinosa, la jugadora tuza tuvo que salir del partido por conmoción, mientras que ‘Dani’ pudo seguir sin ningún problema.
Al minuto 10, Charlyn Corral aprovecha una mala salida de la zaga americanista donde se quita a la arquera y saca un disparo cruzado pero en el afán de detener la pelota a pierna cambiada, Janelly Farías la incrusta en su propia portería y eso era el primero para las Tuzas en el partido, el tercero en el marcador global.
Después, fue un encuentro de ida y vuelta donde las americanistas buscaban la remontada al marcador global y las blanquiazules querían acabarlo con una anotación más.

Las de Coapa reaccionaron inmediatamente y tras un centro de Kimberly Rodríguez, ‘Dani’ Espinosa remató de cabeza y logró acortar la distancia 4 a 2 en el marcador global.
En una jugada donde Karen Díaz levanta mucho la pierna por delante de Casandra Cuevas y hace contacto con ella, la árbitra consideró que fue falta en la línea del área y eso llevó a que ella marcara un penal a favor de las locales, también salió expulsada Yanin Madrid tras una reclamación fuerte que le hizo a la colegiada tras esa decisión.
Katty Martínez se encargaría de cobrar la pena máxima que terminaría fallando y ahí también se irían las esperanzas de la escuadra azulcrema por remontar el marcador global.
Con el 2 a 1 en el marcador del partido y el 4 a 2 global, la escuadra hidalguense logra dar la sorpresa de la liguilla pasando a las Semifinales y dejando fuera al equipo americanista que dicho resultado tuvo consecuencias inmediatas, ya que la directora deportiva Claudia Carrión salió a decir en la conferencia de prensa al final del encuentro que Craig Harrington ya no era más el DT del América Femenil tras el resultado de la serie de Cuartos de Final.
