Mientras las Rojiblancas no mostraban ese trabajo en conjunto que las llevó a ser primeras de la tabla, las cementeras eran completamente superiores pero no pudieron marcar en los primeros 45 minutos del encuentro.
Para la parte complementaria, las visitantes mostraron una mejor faceta colectiva gracias a los cambios que hicieron en el medio tiempo, esto llevó a retrasar a Cruz Azul a su campo.
Otro dato importante para la liga fue que se podrá hacer uso del VAR en la presente liguilla, y al minuto 64 hizo su presentación de manera oficial invalidando un penal que se le había marcado a favor de las cementeras.
Las del Rebaño tuvieron muchas más oportunidades para marcar en la segunda mitad que en el primero, no podían conseguir ese tanto que les diera ventaja y tranquilidad para la vuelta hasta que en una desconcentración azul, la defensa derriba a ‘Caro’ Jaramillo dentro del área y se marcó la pena máxima a favor del Guadalajara. Agarró el balón Alicia Cervantes y la ‘24’ rojiblanca se encargó de canjear el penal por un gol para su equipo.
Con el 1 a 0 en el global, las rojiblancas buscarán manejar el partido de vuelta en su estadio para no pasar sobresaltos y poder avanzar a la ronda de semifinales. Por otro lado, las cementeras deben ir por la victoria a como dé lugar y con goles, porque de otra forma, estarán diciéndole adiós a la liguilla y al torneo.
Y para tenerlo como dato histórico, en el primer partido de Cruz Azul Femenil como local en el Estadio Azteca se dieron cita 6 409 personas.
