Córdoba, Veracruz, México a 02 de Junio de 2022.- En estos últimos años el equipo de Valencia no ha tenido el protagonismo que se espera de un histórico del fútbol español, apenas ganando una Copa del Rey en el 2019, justo en su centenario. ¿A qué se debe este declive? Múltiples aficionados, prensa e incluso ex directivos de la institución apuntan al mismo hombre: Peter Lim.

Peter Lim, un famoso empresario de Singapur, ha sido dueño del equipo de Mestalla desde el 2014. 8 años más tarde sus resultados han sido más fracasos que victorias, futbolísticamente hablando ha llevado al Valencia a rasguñar puestos de Champions, sin traspasos importantes y con ventas de sus jugadores importantes o canteranos interesantes. Desde el anuncio del nuevo Mestalla ha detenido la construcción en dos ocasiones, hasta el 2022, el proyecto no tiene una fecha de conclusión. Incluso ha tenido algunos problemas jurídicos por el mal manejo los últimos 2 años en el club.

Los ‘chés’ en la temporada 2021-2022 han firmado una de las peores campañas en el equipo, terminando noveno lugar y siendo derrotado por el Betis en la final. Esto no es todo, jugador por jugador, el plantel no es de los más poderosos, en la última red de transferencias solo se pudieron conseguir préstamos y jugadores de menor envergadura del que el aficionado valenciano podría esperar: Bryan Gil, Ilaix Moriba, Helder Costa, Hugo Duro, Omar Alderete todos estos llegaron a préstamo; Marcos André que costó poco más de 8 millones de Euros (jugador más caro en las últimas transferencias) participó en un gol y dos asistencias en 29 partidos.

Los problemas en la directiva también se hacen presentes, después de que Mateu Alemany se fuera al Barcelona y dejara a su merced al presidente Anil Murthy en Mestalla las cosas pintaron de mal en peor. Desde el 2017 han pasado 5 entrenadores diferentes, siendo Marcelino el que más ha durado en el puesto por 2 años (Voro estuvo de entrenador interino tres ocasiones, 2017, 2020 y 2021). El último ha sido José Bórdalas, director que rescató a un Valencia que vendió a Dani Parejo, Coquelin, Ferran Torres, Kondogbia y Rodrigo el mismo año.

El pasado lunes Murthy fue desafiliado del club después de que se revelaran unos audios suyos en una cena, mostrando su desinterés en el club, viéndolo más como un negocio, esperando sacar dinero de las transferencias de las estrellas que le quedan al cuadro ché como lo son; Gayá, Carlos Soler y Gonçalo Guedes. En el último partido de la temporada los aficionados pedían la salida de Peter Lim del equipo, sabiendo perfectamente la mafia que se maneja adentro del club. “Peter vete a casa ya” coreaban a las afueras de Mestalla con pancartas, humo naranja y máscaras de la casa de papel, cuan atraco hacia los altos mandos de Valencia.

Hasta ahora no hay ninguna posición del empresario singapurense por dejar las riendas el equipo español, el nombre que suena para dejar Valencia es justamente José Bórdalas que aún tiene un año de contrato, pero no es del agrado de Peter Lim. ¿Quién llegaría en reemplazo de Bórdalas? Un hombre representado por Jorge Mendes (agente y también del agrado de Lim), Genaro Gattuso, que apenas duró 23 días comandando a la Fiorentina el cual se separó porque el comité del equipo italiano se rehusó a negociar con más personas de Mendes.

¿Será Gattuso la persona que puede salvar a este Valencia sin rumbo?, ¿Llegará algún fichaje que pueda reemplazar a Guedes en este mercado de fichajes? La moneda está lanzada y los aficionados en Mestalla necesitan una respuesta, un equipo histórico que pierde su esencia es lo menos que pide el fútbol en estos tiempos.
