A falta de 15 minutos para que el encuentro terminara nueve mete se marco la pena máxima para el conjunto rojiblanco y es que la jugadora Silvana Flores (quien había entrado de cambio al minuto) recibió un pisotón por parte de la defensa María Sandoval dentro del área.
Bea Parra fue una mente la encargada de cobrar el penal y lo hizo de manera eficiente para así no solo sumar su hat trick de la noche, si no también su anotación numero y seguir siendo la goleadora del equipo en esta campaña con 9 goles.
San Luis con esta victoria aun siguen en la pelea por uno de los lugares disponibles dentro de liguilla, mientras que Mazatlán presenta un panorama diferente ya que ni ganando sus últimos dos encuentros puede lograrlo y se han despedido del campeonato.
