León, Guanajuato, México a 19 de marzo de 2023.- Una noche muy agradable para el cierre de la Jornada 12 en la ciudad de León, donde el equipo de los Esmeraldas de León enfrenta a los Guerreros de Santos Laguna, un partido interesante ya que ambos son equipos que juegan abiertos y les gusta atacar.

Y no decepciono el inicio ya que arrancando el partido al minuto 4 Santos tuvo la primera de gol en un tiro de esquina cobrado por Juan Brunetta y dentro del área remata de cabeza Harold Preciado, en el cual Rodolfo Cota se lanza a la base del poste y hace un atajadon evitando el primer gol del partido.

La reacción del León fue muy rápida al 6′, en un balón recuperado por Osvaldo Rodríguez que llega a línea de fondo y manda un centro que el equipo de Santos no puede despejar y después de un par de rebotes, Víctor Dávila saca un tiro potente para vencer a Carlos Acevedo y anotar el primer gol del conjunto Esmeralda.

El partido era un ir y venir de ambas escuadras y al minuto 13 un contrarremate del equipo de Santos, donde Javier Correa remata solo y saca un disparo que Cota desvía en el contrarremate Brunetta tira a puerta, y el defensor del León Stiven Barreiro rechaza en la línea y así evitar el empate del conjunto de la laguna.

El conjunto de León respondió y siguió presionando y tuvo varias oportunidades de gol, pero fue al 26′ donde Yairo Moreno desbordó a línea de fondo y sacó un centro pasado que toma Iván Moreno y saca un derechazo al ángulo de la portería para un golazo del conjunto del León y poner el 2 a 0.

Al minuto 29 el defensor Hugo Rodríguez se equivoca y realiza una falta sobre Lucas Di Yorio que se enfilaba solo a la portería y al cometer la falta se gana la tarjeta roja, dejando a su equipo con diez hombres en la primera media hora de partido.

León aprovechó y dominó el partido, la recompensa vino al 43′ donde el equipo local realizó una buena jugada que terminó afuera del área para un disparo de Barreiro que rechazó el defensa, y Víctor Dávila contrarremata ante el desvío del zaguero Omar Campos para así anotar el tercer gol de la Fiera y segundo en el partido para Dávila y así concluir la primera mitad con un equipo León en plan grande.

El segundo tiempo siguió con la misma intensidad y fue al minuto 57 donde el equipo de Santos reaccionó, y en un balón que tomó Lucas González filtró un balón para Preciado que entró al área con balón controlado y venció a Cota para acercar al equipo de Santos por 3 a 1.

León presionó y sentenció el partido 5 minutos después al 64′ en un centro de Dávila que remata de cabeza a la base del poste Fidel Ambriz y así redondear una gran actuación del conjunto esmeralda y pone el 4 a 1.

El resto del partido fue de trámite y donde el equipo Esmeralda pudo conseguir su sexta victoria del torneo, que lo pone momentáneamente en quinto lugar general con 21 puntos a falta de un partido pendiente contra Mazatlán el próximo viernes 24 de marzo, y de lograr la victoria el León podría subir al segundo lugar general, mientras que Santos se queda en el lugar 9 de la tabla general con 15 puntos y tendrá descanso por la fecha FIFA.
