La primera llegada para Mazatlán aparecería hasta el minuto 30, cuando Karla Saavedra sacó un disparo que llevaba mucha potencia; sin embargo, la dirección no fue la adecuada y terminó en los guantes de Karla Morales.
Otra llega de la franja llegaría al minuto 34 y es que Fátima Bracamonte apareció con un disparo a primer poste; el cual acabó por encima del arco.
Con un duelo muy trabado y de poca claridad para ambas escuadras; terminaría el primer tiempo.
El primer gol de Mazatlán llegó segundos después de arrancar el segundo tiempo, por vía de Melisa Ramos que terminó empujando el balón dentro de las redes. Así, Melisa consigue su primera anotación en lo que va de torneo.
Unos primeros minutos del segundo tiempo, donde Mazatlán mostró una cara totalmente distinta a lo que venía mostrando durante el primer tiempo. Pues las Cañoneras, iban constantemente hacia al frente para atacar a la Franja.
Al minuto 26 del segundo tiempo, Mazatlán estuvo cerca de poner el segundo en el marcador y es que Paola Mercado tenía la portería abierta para meter el gol, pero le pegó sin fuerza al balón (además de que el balón salió hacia el rostro de la guardameta) fue tan duro el impacto que tuvo que recibir asistencia médica.
El partido ya no tendría mayores aproximaciones (en ninguna de las porterías) y con eso Mazatlán consigue su primera victoria del torneo.
