La Liga MX Femenil está de fiesta, pues este 28 de julio se cumplieron cinco años desde que la liga nació en el 2017. Durante estos últimos años hemos visto un gran progreso para el futbol femenil mexicano. En este artículo te contamos sobre algunos de los avances más destacados que ha tenido esta liga, que además promete ser de las mejores del mundo, y sin duda alguna la mejor a nivel América Latina.
Para empezar, esta liga ha permitido el crecimiento y desarrollo de talento de nuevas jugadoras. Esta liga ha fortalecido a las diferentes categorías de la Selección Mexicana, pues le ha dado la oportunidad a aproximadamente 70 jugadoras de ser convocadas. Antes de la liga, los procesos de reclutación para selección se daban por torneos amateur, ligas extranjeras, o incluso ir a reclutar talento a Estados Unidos donde hay muchas jugadoras mexicano-americanas. Por lo tanto, ahora las niñas y jóvenes tienen más oportunidades de ser vistas para lograr el sueño de portar la verde gracias a la exposición que tiene la liga en nuestro país.
Añadiendo a lo anterior, la liga ha servido como exhibición de talentos mexicanos para equipos extranjeros. Si bien el sueño de muches futbolistes es llegar a jugar a Europa, ya que allá se encuentra el mejor futbol, a partir de la creación de la liga, varias jugadoras pudieron salir en su momento de la Liga MX para ir a cumplir sus sueños al continente europeo. Entre ellas: Desirée Monsiváis al Glasgow, Itzel Gonzalez al Sevilla, Rubí Soto al Villarreal y Cecilia Santiago al PSV.
Por otro lado, para asegurar el continuo crecimiento y desarrollo de futuras jugadoras mexicanas en la Liga MX Femenil, varios equipos han formalizado sus equipos de categorías inferiores. Además, ya se cuenta con la Liga MX Femenil Sub-17 (ahora Sub-18), y esta obliga a todos los equipos a contar con su propio equipo de esta categoría. De esta forma, se le da oportunidad a las niñas de poder construir una base futbolística fuerte desde temprano con el sueño de algún día poder debutar en la primera división del club al que pertenecen.
El crecimiento de la Liga MX Femenil ha sido tanto en tan pocos años, que ha estado en la mira internacional de otros clubes, aficionades y sobre todo jugadoras de alto renombre. Este verano del 2022 sucedió algo histórico para la liga, pues se concretó el fichaje de la jugadora española Jenni Hermoso en el equipo de Pachuca. Este fichaje ha logrado que muchas personas, sobre todo extranjeras, volteen a ver al futbol femenil mexicano y se interesen por verlo, pues Jenni es una de las mejores jugadoras del mundo (proviene del FC Barcelona) y promete mucho para su nuevo equipo de las Tuzas.
El nivel de futbol en la Liga MX Femenil ha mejorado bastante, y esto se refleja en la asistencia a los estadios. Además de haber roto varias veces récords de asistencia, la FIFA destaca a la Liga MX Femenil como la segunda liga femenil con mejor promedio de asistencia, solo por debajo de la liga estadounidense. También la liga mexicana es la que tiene mayores seguidores en redes sociales de todas las ligas femeniles en el mundo. Todo esto motiva a inversionistas y patrocinadores a apoyar económicamente a la liga, algo que, por lo tanto, beneficia tanto a las jugadoras como a la afición.
En fin, son tantos logros que ha tenido la Liga MX Femenil en estos cortos cinco años, y aún promete bastante. Esto ha sido producto de un gran esfuerzo de todas las personas que apoyan al futbol femenil de manera incondicional, muchas incluso desde antes de que naciera la liga.
